The Magic School Bus

Since we have been studying about plants, here is a great read for you to read at home with your parents. We all love the Magic School Bus, so here is one about a seed and learning how plants grow. I will give 10 points to who ever can come in the next 3 days and tell me what happens to the school bus in this book. 

Time To Explore!!

As we have been studying plants this month, it is time for you to go outside and explore your world! I want you to find 5 different types of plants. They can be anything from weeds, to bushes to tree leaves. You need to bring them to class on Monday and as a class, we are going to learn how to classify each plant. So come prepared to have some fun and learn more about scientific methods!

Google Search

Using the Custom Google Search tool, I want you to search for information about your favorite type of plant. It could be a flower, a weed, a vegetable plant, a tree, etc.

The following are the requirements:

1.  You need one type of plant.

2.  Three facts about the plant.

3.  The plants Habitat.

4.  A picture of the plant.

Create a post with this information. Entitled: Plant Report.

Plants from the Poll!!

This months unit is on Plants. I want you select one of the choices on the poll, and post on here why you chose that particular type of plant. I will give you an example:

 I chose a Cactus.

         The reasons I chose a cactus are the following:


               -I lived in Texas and was surrounded by them.

                  -I ate cactus. (Tastes like brocolli, you have to use
                                        lots of flavoring)

                 - They can go a long time without rain. (I like to                                                    think I can too!)

                  -They are awesome looking!

You are required to post at least two great reasons! (Not just: "They are cool.")
